How to browse Abergavenny Community map

Close this panel and click pins to explore stories and memories from Abergavenny.

How to add your own content

If you want to add your own content to the map, get the following information ready:

  • Your story or memory – as a photo, text, link to a video or any other link
  • The location of your story or memory in Abergavenny

Please note that Abergavenny Community cannot accept videos as files. If you want to share a video then upload it to YouTube first and then copy the web address.

Add content using your Facebook ID

  1. Click “Login” to start and follow the prompts. You need to use your Facebook ID and allow the website to post to your timeline on your behalf.
  2. Once you’re signed in, click the + on the bottom right of the map and choose the media format (text, image, video link, other link).
  3. You’ll see your new pin on the map. Drag the pin to the exact location and click the tick to confirm.
  4. Fill in information about what you’re adding to the map and an approximate year, click “Add Pin” and you’re finished.
  5. When you add a pin, it’ll be looked over the editor to check for appropriateness.
  6. Once approved, your pin will appear on the map and Abergavenny Community Map Facebook page.

Add content using email

If you’re not active on Facebook and you want to add content to the map by email, you can send it to Abergavenny Community’s editor using post@abergavennycommunity.org.

Your pin is now live, you will be able to see it on the map and on the Abergavenny Community Facebook page.
